Who should attend Village?
Village is open to Vignette customers, sponsoring partners and prospective customers. Industry analysts and members of the media are also welcome.
What are the registration fees?

Two-Day Passes include admission to all conference sessions and after-hours scheduled evening activities on the main days of the conference.
Three-Day Passes include additional admission to Monday’s all-day intensive product and solution training sessions, as well as all conference sessions and after-hours scheduled evening activities on the main days of the conference.
What are the payment options for registration?
The following are acceptable means of payment:
- Credit Card (American Express, Visa or MasterCard)
- Check
- Purchase Order (Note: you will need the Purchase Order number to complete the transaction)
If you select “Check” or “Purchase Order”, you will receive an invoice upon completion of your registration. Please ensure that your payment is submitted 30 days prior to the event to guarantee your registration.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations received by September 1, 2008 will be refunded 50 percent of the conference fee. No refunds will be given after September 1, 2008. Any cancellation must be e-mailed to villagesupport@vignette.com and approved by a Vignette Representative.
Can I transfer my registration to a co-worker if I cannot attend?
Yes, please send an e-mail to villagesupport@vignette.com with your confirmation number and the co-worker’s name and contact information.
Do you offer registration discounts for groups?
Group discounts are handled on a case-by-case basis. If you have a group of more than 5 attendees, please contact villagesupport@vignette.com.
Does the registration fee include my hotel room?
No. Your hotel expense is independent of the conference cost. A special discounted room rate of $189 plus tax per night at the Hilton Austin has been established for Village 2008 attendees. Be sure to ask for the Vignette Village 2008 conference rate when booking your room to get the discounted room rate.
How can I get a receipt for reimbursement purposes?
Your confirmation e-mail shows your payment and acts as your receipt. If you have additional needs, please contact villagesupport@vignette.com.

What is the room rate at the Hilton Austin?
A special discounted room rate of $189 plus tax/per night has been established for Village 2008 attendees.
How do I make my hotel reservations?
Hotel reservations must be made by October 1, 2008. You may make your reservations by calling the hotel directly at +1 512.482.8000 or online. Please be sure to ask for the VIGNETTE VILLAGE rate of $189/night.
A Government rate of $114/night will be offered to qualifying attendees. Please call the hotel directly to make your reservation at the negotiated rate. There are a limited number of rooms at this rate and availability will be on a first-come basis.
What amenities are included in the Hilton Austin hotel room?
Each Hilton Austin room measures 350 square feet in size and includes one king or two double beds, a chair with ottoman or loveseat and a spacious work desk. You can stay in touch with two phones (each with 2 lines), voicemail and a data port offering wireless high-speed Internet service. Also offered is the Hilton Family Exclusive alarm clock/radio with connection cable for personal MP3 player, portable CD player, laptop and other entertainment devices. The Hilton PrinterOn service enables guests to send print jobs from laptops in their guestrooms directly to the hotel's 24-hr business center for pick-up at their convenience. Additionally each of the guest rooms includes a 27-inch television with Cable TV and pay movies, video games and premium channels, mini-bar, coffee maker, iron/ironing board and hair dryer. A complimentary USA Today newspaper is delivered to each room Monday - Friday.
Is parking available at the Hilton Austin?
Self-parking is available for $15.00 per day. Valet parking is available for $25.00 per day.
How far is the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport from the Hilton Austin?
The airport is approximately 7 minutes from the hotel.
What are the directions from the Austin-Bergstrom Airport to the Hilton Austin?
Exit the airport and take Highway 71 west approximately 5.5 miles to I-35. Merge onto I-35 North and take exit 234C. Turn left at the first stop light (6th Street). Travel west on 6th street 4 blocks. Turn left onto Neches. The hotel is on the left on the corner of 5th & Neches.
Is Vignette providing transportation to and from the airport?
No. Taxi service is available from the airport. The typical charge from the airport to the hotel is $25.00. SuperShuttle is also available in Austin. The typical charge for this service from the airport to the hotel is $13.00.

Will there be Products and Solutions Training on Monday at Village this year?
Yes, Vignette Professional Training representatives will offer a range of training sessions on Monday, October 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For a complete list of Monday training sessions, visit the Village Austin Web site Training page.
Is there a cost associated with Monday’s Products and Solutions Training?
Yes. Monday’s training sessions are offered at a considerable discount to our normal training rates. In order to attend Monday’s training sessions you must register for a 3-day Village pass. Note: certain Products and Solutions Training courses continue with hands-on sessions on the Thursday and Friday following Village. Seating is limited and there is an additional fee. What is the difference between the Monday and Tuesday/Wednesday sessions?
Monday is dedicated to Vignette product training. Most of the sessions offered on this day are abbreviated versions of our standard product training courses. Tuesday and Wednesday comprise the actual Village conference, with nearly 100 breakout sessions delivered by Vignette personnel and Vignette customer representatives. All Tuesday and Wednesday events are open to all Village attendees.
Do I need to reserve a seat in conference sessions that interest me?
No. The sessions are first come, first served so please arrive early to secure a seat.

What meals are provided at Village?
On Monday if you have a 3-day Village pass, breakfast, lunch and breaks will be provided for you. Attendees with both 2-day and 3-day passes are invited to the Monday evening Welcome Reception, where food will be served.
On Tuesday and Wednesday all attendees will be served breakfast, lunch and breaks.
What is appropriate conference attire?
The conference attire is business casual. Attire for the Tuesday evening event is casual.
What is Austin weather like in October?
October weather in Austin is normally dry and warm, with an average daytime temperature of 80°F (27°C) and an average overnight temperature of 58°F (14°C).
